Meeting Minutes
Wednesday, October 23, 2013
Location: Chichester Fire Station
Members present: Darren Tapp, Alan Mayville, and Anthony Galdieri
Members Absent: - Andrea Deachman, Matt Cole
The meeting began at approximately 7:30PM at the Chichester Fire Station.
The committee tabled voting on draft minutes from the previous meetings.
Anthony discussed the presentation of the “as submitted” working spreadsheet to the Selectmen that he gave on October 15, 2013 at the Selectmen’s meeting. The Selectmen agreed with the committee’s proposed methodology. The methodology consists of the following: (1) appropriating the full amount for road reconstruction in each year consistent with the requests of the Road Committee and the vote at town meeting approving the full amount for road reconstruction in 2013 and the related discussion at town meeting regarding the need to upkeep and preserve the town’s road system; and (2) taking the remaining submittals and lowering their total amount to meet historical spending levels before the concept of road reconstruction was advanced.
Anthony also related that there was discussion at the Selectmen meeting that the bridge on Kelly Corner Road may be to be repaired or replaced.
The committee then proceeded to review the draft working spreadsheets and, consistent with the above methodology, attempted to create a final spreadsheet to be reviewed and voted on at the next meeting. Anthony agreed to update the “as submitted” working spreadsheet with the changes proposed by the committee for review at the next meeting. Darren agreed to double-check the revised spreadsheet and create a separate spreadsheet for road reconstruction consistent with the revised spreadsheet to be reviewed and voted upon for inclusion in the final report.
The committee further agreed that it would begin crafting its annual report after the next meeting. The committee agreed to a meeting on October 30, 2013 at 7:30PM at the Chichester Fire State.
The meeting ended at approximately 8:00PM.
